A Note from Bro. Michael
Dear Church Family,About 5 years ago you welcomed my family into the Bethany Baptist family. It has been a great growing experience and I thank you for the opportunity. Over the years we have celebrated through victories together and we have tried to work together through times of difficulty. It has been my joy to get to know you as a church and to lead the students here at Bethany. Looking back over the years I have loved getting to see them grow up and grow closer to Christ.
I have accepted the position of Minister of Students at Shiloh Baptist Church in Somerville, Alabama and I must tender my resignation. My last day here at Bethany will be Sunday Morning, October 14th. We have made some great friends here and the students will always hold a special place in my heart and my life. I thank you for the opportunity to serve here and I pray God’s blessings and direction upon Bethany Baptist Church.
I also wanted to say a word of thanks to Brother Barry for his leadership and friendship over the past five years. I thank him for his support of me and the student ministry here at Bethany. Both he and his family have been dear friends of ours over the past several years.
To the students, I want to let you know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers. You will always have a special place in my heart and my life. I wish you the best and I pray that God will send someone here quickly to pick up where I leave off. Please continue seeking Christ and being a witness in your schools and this community.
